It took three games for the Lady Lions Volleyballers, but they won a hard-fought victory against a talented South Central team Wednesday night.

After gaining an early set to start their match with South Central, Edwards County fended off a strong rally to claim the win. The Lions topped South Central, 25–15, 21–25, 28–26.

Amaya Lashbrook had a team-high 20 assists for the ECHS girls, also serving up two aces. Meredith Gillard claimed 12 kills to lead the team in the category. Ali Goering had a monster evening at the net, amassing five blocks. On the ground, Ava Greathouse came away with an astounding 21 digs in the win.
