Lowell Eck

Lowell Eck, 89, of Terre Haute, passed away Dec. 10 of complications related to COVID.

Born in Grayville, Ill. to parents George Henry and Mildred.  Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia of 59 years and Sister Lola Calder.  He is survived by his children Lowell Jr. (Cotton) - wife Susan of Terre Haute, Cindy of Terre Haute, and Gaylene Wilkinson - husband Larry of North Carolina; Grandchildren Joshua Eck (Stacy), Zachary Eck (Jessica), Troy Wilkinson, and Kristi Smith (KL); and six Great-Grandchildren, as well as several cousins and nieces and nephews.

Lowell served God and Country in the United States Air Force for 23 years which included the Korean War and Vietnam Conflict. He was a devout Christian all of his life. He was an active member of the Maryland Community Church for over 40 years. 

Lowell was a devoted Husband and Father. He will be dearly missed by many.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 11:00 a.m. at New Harmony Cemetery with military honors. Pastor Vince McFarland will be officiating.
