With three first place and three second place performances across their high school, middle school and elementary divisions, the Edwards County Archery team put together a strong showing at the Edwards County Regional over the weekend.
Saturday morning saw teams from throughout the region visit Albion and Linda Oxby Gymnasium, as the host school team nabbed at least one of the top two spots in five of the 11 divisions to compete in the event. That included first place outings by Trey Landingham, Hanna Evans and Max Fieber, as well as second place finishes from Parker Biggs, Josie Shelby and Wyatt Landingham.
In the Elementary Female BH Compound division, the Lions took the top three places with Evans netting a 144, Shelby a 117 and Kayla Conover a 100. Trey Landingham earned the top spot in the Boys Elementary BH Compound with a 150.
In the Middle School Female BH Compoumd, Biggs finished in second place with a score of 133. Teammate Paige Mosson managed third with a 129, followed by a fifth place showing by Lady Lion Cheyenne Duncan at 108.
Wyatt Landingham nabbed second in the Middle School Male BH Compound with a 149, while teammates Jaden Evans and Maverick Moore took fourth and fifth places with respective scores of 127 and 124.
Fieber won the High School Male Olympic Recurve division with a 118.
In the High School Female BH Compound, Edwards County’s Natalie Shelby netted a third place finish with a score of 137.
