Phyllis Ruth Webb, age 83 of rural Albion passed from this life to the next on Friday, March 26 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital, Evansville, Ind.
Phyllis was born in Allendale on July 1, 1937 to Bryan E. and Ruth (Lutz) Bell.
She married Loren “Buck” Webb on April 4, 1958 in Carmi and they have enjoyed almost 63 years of life’s journey together.
Phyllis was the family “chronicle-er;” keeping newspaper clippings of everything her family, friends and classmates were involved in. She kept excellent records and photographs of family trips, reunions and everyday life, organizing them in binders so they can be enjoyed again and again.
Phyllis was very family oriented. She absolutely doted on her only granddaughter, Rachel, and let her know she was the light of her life. She also cared deeply for each family member, making everyone feel as if they were special to her. She will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Neil and Harvey.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Loren “Buck” Webb; daughter, Kay Ann (Paul Ehlert) Newell of Alabama; sons, Steve (Rhonda) Webb and Daniel Webb; granddaughter, Rachel (James Adams) Webb; two sisters, Leta Kay Woods and Joyce (John) Daniel, all of Mount Carmel; sister-in-law, Terry Bell of Centralia; brothers-in-law, Bruce (Clara Nell) Webb of Grayville and Bob Briscoe of Wadesville, Ind. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside Services were held on Tuesday, March 30 at Bethel Cemetery in Ellery.
Memorials are encouraged to the Wabash Christian Village, Carmi and the Edwards County Senior Citizens.
