Donald Ray Brinkley, 55 of Albion

55 year old Albion resident, Donald Ray Brinkley passed away Thursday morning, July 9 at his residence.
Donald was born Sept. 13, 1964 in Eldorado. He was the son of James Donald and Phyllis (Rich) Brinkley. He married Dixie Jenkins on Feb. 14, 2005 in Wayne County and she survives. Donald had been an over the road truck driver, lastly working for Stanfa Trucking out of Carlyle. He enjoyed doing carpentry work and being a backyard mechanic.
Donald is survived by his wife, Dixie; two daughters, Madison LeeAnn Brinkley, at home and Donna (Scott) Furlong of Michigan; three sons, Don Gene Brinkley of Albion, James Dean (Alisha) Brinkley of Michigan and Robert (Jessica) Brinkley of Michigan; one step-son, Cody Brown of Albion; three step-daughters, Crystal (Brandon) Brinkley of Fairfield, Nicole (Kevin) Stein of Freelandville, Ind. and Candice Brown of Claremont, Ill.; one brother, Terry Brinkley of Fairfield; two sisters, Gina Weccele of Carmi and Leatha West of Fairfield; 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Donald in death were his parents, brother Mark Brinkley and infant twin siblings.
Cremation has been accorded with a celebration of life service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to go towards cremation expenses. Memorials can be made at Citizens National Bank in Dixie Brinkley’s name or at Nale’s Funeral Home in Albion.
